Ariv Raja Gautam - Month 5

Ariv bubba!!!! How are you 5 months? I feel like we start every blog post entry the same way but honestly time is flying. You also have tripled in size, or it at least seems like it, because you are growing so fast. Over the past month you got your 4 month shots and handled them like a champ! You started solids and LOVE to eat. You salivate and chomp your gummy little mouth up and down anytime you see any of us eating. Your favorites so far are carrot and sweet potato. We are slowly introducing you to new foods since you have had a reaction to banana and want to be careful until you have an allergy test. You love to sit up in your little chair on our kitchen counter and watch the action. Your face lights up when you see your big sister and you giggle with glee at everything she does. Except when she screams in your ear and then you get scared and start crying. We still find your cry hilariously cute (for the most part). You have started to sleep better - but mama and dada are gonna keep trying to push you for longer stretches. You did your first solo trip with just Mama to Columbus or Cumbulus in Layla’s words and we got to celebrate your Thatha's retirement. Sadly a few days after our trip your great grandmother (Nani’s mom) passed away but it catalyzed us to take you and your sister to a temple and get blessings in her honor - so your first trip to a temple is in the books! 

You have the biggest smile and cutest giggles and it has been such a whirlwind but amazing 5 months with you. Keep smiling and growing and we will keep encouraging your love of food and all things Layla. We love you cutie moo.
