Layla Rani Gautam - Month 9

Hi Boo! You are 9 months old - only a few months away from being One! It is crazy to me that you have officially been part of the world longer than you were in Mama's belly.  Dada and I sometimes sit and wonder about how life was without you and it is truly so hard to imagine. You are our everything and our favorite thing to do is spend time and obsess over you. In the past month you have become SO active, you can move from one side of your playmat to the other in a matter of seconds and you do it all without being able to crawl. We are waiting for you to learn to move forward but right now you still only scoot backwards when in the crawling stance. You spent some more time in Columbus with your cousins and got to celebrate Diwali and your first Halloween as Looby Dooby Doo with the Mystery Inc. Crew (Dada, Mama and Bua). You said your first words (DADA obviously), swung on a swing for the first time, got a new nanny who comes to take care of you during the week while Mama and Dada work, and learned to get up to sitting position all on your own. You are obsessed with phone wires and love your bath toy Dory. You still have very little hair but you love to whip your head back and forth when you feel the wind on your face. Dada likes to remind us that we are both ticklish in the same spots and then tickles you until you squeal! When you want something or don't want something you make it known and flap your arms up and down or kick your little legs. You remind us of  a little puppy dog and start panting when you are excited. You have tried lots and lots of new food and love to try to feed yourself and drink water out of your straw. Sadly you also got sick for the first time but you were an absolute champ through it all.
The past nine months have been an absolute adventure and we love seeing the world through your eyes! Keep soaring boo bear and we will be there experiencing it all with you like it is the very first time for us too.
