Layla Rani Gautam - Month 7

7 Months!! Where has the time gone our little Lu bear?! You accomplished so much in the last month and we love watching you grow. Both of your grandmothers came to New York and stayed with us for the past few weeks to help take care of you while your mama transitioned back to work and your dada transitioned into taking his paternity leave. You have the most selfless and loving grandmothers who absolutely dote on you - you are one lucky little lady. We started giving you solids this month as well and your favorite food to date has been mint raita. Following in the footsteps of your parents and our love for Indian food! You have also begun the first stages of crawling and have learned how to shriek (sometimes in the middle of the night to our delight). You are still learning how to sleep independently but we indulge you and love to hold you as much as possible because you are growing too fast! Soon you won't want us to cuddle you so we continue to cherish these moments while we can. 

Your favorite toy is a little cactus that dada's friend gifted you. We tried to move it one day so you would play with your other toys and you started searching for it. It was the cutest. You love to sit and hold it while reaching for other toys with your free hand. You also got a new bouncer and love to jump around in it while bobbing your head to nursery rhymes. Dada and you have also begun to listen to classical music every morning on our balcony while he enjoys his coffee. You love being outdoors and letting the air blow through your hair(s). 

You are the biggest joy in our lives. Mama and Dada spend every waking minute making sure you are happy because your happiness is our happiness. We love you!
