Layla Rani Gautam - Month 8

Whoaaaaa munni what a month you had! 

You:

• rode on your first NYC subway ride (to get your flu shot)
• took your first international flight and went to London and then Milan and Florence (fancy!) 
• took your first international train ride
• went to your second wedding
• battled jetlag (twice!) 
• celebrated your Dadu’s 60th birthday!
• fell sick for the first time :(
• have tried soooo many new solid foods (you lo0o0o0o0ve your veggies - avocado, squash, etc.). weirdo. 

Me, you, Mama, Nani, and Thatha all flew to London together because Dada had a friends trip in Germany and your Nani and Thatha were so sweet to spend time with you and Mama in London while I was gone. You guys had an amazing few days together exploring London. The evening I came back from Germany, we reunited and all got dinner together. When you saw me for the first time in three days you were so shocked and started crying sooo hard because maybe you were sad or mad that I was gone for so long! But then we quickly became friends again. Then, me, Mama, and you all flew to Milan, Italy together and then took a fun train ride the next day to Florence, Italy. We did lots of touristy things together and had a fun time at the wedding.

Sadly, we all fell sick at the wedding but made it back to New York in time to spend the weekend with Dadi, Dadu, and Bua to celebrate Dadu’s birthday. It was such a special time and we were so happy that Dadu got to celebrate his 60th birthday with you in his arms!  Your Dadi stayed after the celebrations to help take care of all of us since we were all sick!

You are still sick, but you have been such a strong girl and been so playful and smiley. You have also been a VERY VERY BAD BAD GIRL but Mama reminds me that you are just a baby, so then I pick you up and smother you with kisses and hugs (as usual).

Love you munni - keep growing and we’re so excited to watch your (BIG) personality continue to grow and we hope we can do even more things with you that you won’t remember!
