Layla Rani Gautam - Month 2

HI SWEEPY!!!!

Month 2 is dada’s turn to write a blog post so it will be a little different than your mama’s. First and foremost Sweepy is my current nickname for you. It’s a mix of sweet pea and sleepy, you are both. Your nicknames are Lu, Luly, Luly Pie, Loopy, Luby, Looby Dooby Doo, Lupita (Mama doesn’t like this one), and Soupy. Your mom calls you ‘mumma’ which is very cute. We both love you more and more every single day. You always surprise us with something new and even the littlest things make us both so excited. Your mama is a very loving person but I have never ever seen her give out sooo many kisses and hugs and sooo much love to anyone. 

You are sooooooo cute and a very quiet good girl. You’ve given us 3 mini-smiles to date. The first time you smiled your mama started crying, it was very sweet, she loves you so much. You are a very lazy baby. You love sleeping on your mama and dada. You sleep so hard and then when you wake up you cry SOOOO hard immediately because you’re also a very hungry baby. Your grandparents and mom always make fun of dada because anytime I enter the room I EAT YOU UP. I smother you in kisses and hugs and sometimes dance with you to hip hop or bollywood music. I make fun of you a lot, but your mama gets mad at me when I do that. Sometimes you make us mad when you are being a crazy baby but then we look at you 5 minutes later and your little angel face makes us smile so big. 

Today you turned 2 months old and you are SO much bigger and active. You make so many funny noises - sometimes you are an owl, sometimes a sheep, sometimes an 85 year old man with your grunting. You have started to love your night time baths and also started getting so good at tummy time! Your mama has spent a LOT of time grooming you and cleaning your head, your nose, your ears, your neck, and dada gives you manicures.The next members of the family you will meet this month are Anand mama and Veena mami - they are so excited to meet you. Tomorrow, we go in for your first shots/vaccines and we’re sooo scared. Mama is definitely gonna cry, maybe dada too. We love you so much Sweepy and can’t wait to see all the adventures you’ll take us on in the next month.
