Ariv Raja Gautam - Month 1

Happy 1 month baby boy! How fast time has flown. By way of introduction:

Ariv Raja Gautam arrived at 8:41 AM on September 6th, 2024 weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces and standing tall a 18 inches. Important to note that the Hospital measured you incorrectly and you really were born at 19.5 inches. Our tall baba. During delivery, it was clear that you want things your way, a strong personality before even entering this world. Mama had to stay in one position for the entirety of her labor or else you would protest. Ariv means King of Wisdom and we can't wait to see how you live up to your name as you grow.

You came into our lives and our hearts doubled in size. As you are the King of our hearts, your sister is the Queen. Layla absolutely adores you and tells you she loves you multiple times every single day. She smothers you in kisses every chance she gets. You mostly eat, sleep, poop and repeat and are growing so big so fast! You already are out of your newborn clothes and into the next size up. Your amazing grandmothers were here with us from the day we brought you home and you already have had so many family visitors come and meet you. One of mama's favorite things is when you act like a shark when trying to drink your milk and whip your head back and forth. It is so cute and makes mama giggle. Dada loves when you make your wolf sounds "AOooooO" and of course takes photos and videos at every opportunity. You enjoy taking walks on the loud streets of NYC and following our voices with your little head when we talk. We are still settling in to life as a foursome but you really do complete our family. We started this tradition of writing blog posts every month with your sister and are looking forward to continuing this with you.

Our biggest hope for you is to live a happy, fulfilled and long life. Your Dada and Mama have grown so much as parents and we owe it to your sister for letting us learn and make mistakes along the way. You have come into our lives to let us continue growing into our roles with confidence and grace and to become the best versions of ourselves. Both you and your sister are the best parts of our lives. Thank you for choosing us as your parents - we love you immensely.
