Layla Rani Gautam - Month 11

Our dear sweet Laylu - how are you 11 months old already?!?! We cannot wrap our heads around just how fast the time has truly flown. I feel like we start every blog post the same way but honestly each month that passes, it hits us all over again. At least twice a week, while watching tv, your Dada and I will randomly pull up your album and look back at pictures of when you were small. You are still small and have so much ahead of you - but the amount you have already grown is truly astonishing! 

This past month, you took yet another trip, and this time it was to Tampa to visit your friend Ayla! We celebrated your first Christmas and New Year at home in Brooklyn and you got to open a bunch of new presents. All of us wore matching pajammie jams and on Christmas day we snuggled and watch Christmas movies all day. We met santa for the first time in Tampa and we told him our biggest wish for you is to be happy. You have become adept at standing on your own and we are waiting for the day you will take your first steps! You looove to eat and your favorite toys are still Mama and Dada. Every morning we bring you to bed and we all cuddle and you play and giggle. It is the best part of our day. You also really love music, so we like to put it on for you and let you dance around and show us your moves. We facetime with your grandparents at least once a week and show off all your new skills. You love to wave like Queen Elizabeth and tilt your head inquisitively to the side. You got to attend your very first birthday party this month and we are gearing up to celebrate your first birthday in Houston very very soon!

Mama is sitting here and writing this with such a big smile thinking of all you have done and all the firsts we still get to experience with you. Keep soaring to new heights and Dada and I will be right there behind you every step of the way. One more month to one!!!!
